Breast Cancer Screening
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, but early detection can save lives. Whether you're 40 or 74, Ontario offers screening options that are free, accessible, and potentially life-saving. This page will guide you through who should get screened, how to book a mammogram (even without a referral), and what programs are available based on your age and risk level.
You Can Book Your Own Mammogram — No Referral Needed
If you're eligible, you can schedule a mammogram without needing a referral from your doctor. We’re also happy to help book it for you — just ask!
